Should I care about meditation? Yeah you should!

Before we go any further I will explain a bit of what meditation is and then we will get to why you should do it and how you can start it.

So what is meditation?

Meditation is a practice that involves focusing or clearing your mind using a combination of mental and physical techniques. It aims to achieve a mentally clear and emotionally calm and stable state. Here are some key points about meditation.

Monks use this term crazy monkey, so imagine your brain is like a crazy monkey and our brain controls everything we do, so would we want a crazy monkey running things for us? making rash decisions? no? then we need to calm that crazy monkey with meditation so we can handle anything with calm state and strategic thinking.

There are many forms of meditation but to list a few ⬇️⬇️

  • Concentrative Meditation: Focusing on a specific object, such as your breath or a mantra.
  • Mindfulness Meditation: Being aware of and involved in the present moment without judgment.
  • Loving-Kindness Meditation: Focusing on sending love and kindness to yourself and others.
  • Body-Scan Meditation: Scanning your body to notice physical sensations

The benefits of meditation are ⬇️⬇️

They can make you calm and collected.

They can make you think more clearly and you can see things in a different light.

They can help relive stress, anxiety, worry, and negative thinking.

They help build your discipline and help you stack more good habits.

They can help you focus and remember things.

Meditation can also help you sleep.

Many practitioners say meditation can also open up a gateway to another dimension, communicating with spirits - see 6 on the list for this

Here is a post I found on a website going through how to communicate with spirit guides ➡️ How to connect with your spirit guides

There is a whole lot more on this topic.

If you are serious then you should learn about the 7 main chacras and how they play a part.

Here is a list of the 7 main chacras ⬇️⬇️

1. Root Chakra (Muladhara)

The Root Chakra is the first chakra, located at the base of your spine. It’s like your body’s foundation, helping you feel grounded and secure. When this chakra is balanced, you feel safe and confident. It’s connected to feelings of stability and belonging. If the Root Chakra is blocked, you might feel anxious or insecure. You can help balance it by spending time in nature or doing activities that make you feel connected to the earth.

The colour of the Root Chakra is red, and its symbol is a four-petalled lotus. This chakra is important for your overall well-being because it supports your basic needs like food, shelter, and safety. Activities like yoga or meditating while focusing on your base can help keep this energy centre balanced.

2. Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana)

The Sacral Chakra is located just below your belly button. It’s linked to creativity, emotions, and your ability to enjoy life. When this chakra is balanced, you feel joyful and open to new experiences. It helps with your ability to express yourself and connect with others. If it’s out of balance, you might struggle with emotional issues or have trouble being creative.

The colour of the Sacral Chakra is orange, and it is represented by a six-petalled lotus. This chakra is all about the flow of feelings and creativity. Activities like dancing or engaging in creative hobbies can help keep the Sacral Chakra healthy and vibrant.

3. Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura)

The Solar Plexus Chakra is located in the upper part of your abdomen, around your stomach area. It’s like your personal power centre, giving you confidence and control over your life. 4. Heart Chakra (Anahata)

The Heart Chakra is located in the centre of your chest. It’s all about love, compassion, and your ability to connect with others. When this chakra is open, you feel loving and connected, both to yourself and to other people. If it’s blocked, you might struggle with feelings of isolation or have trouble forming close relationships.

The colour of the Heart Chakra is green, and it is symbolized by a twelve-petalled lotus. This chakra supports your ability to love and be loved. Practicing kindness and spending time with loved ones can help keep this chakra in balance.

5. Throat Chakra (Vishuddha)

The Throat Chakra is located at your throat and is linked to communication and self-expression. When this chakra is balanced, you can speak your truth clearly and effectively. It also helps with listening and expressing yourself honestly. If this chakra is blocked, you might find it hard to express your thoughts or feel misunderstood.

The colour of the Throat Chakra is blue, and its symbol is a sixteen-petalled lotus. This chakra is key to effective communication. To keep it healthy, practice speaking openly and honestly, and try activities like singing or journaling.

6. Third Eye Chakra (Ajna)

The Third Eye Chakra is located between your eyebrows, in the middle of your forehead. It’s associated with intuition, insight, and seeing things clearly. When this chakra is balanced, you have a strong sense of inner wisdom and can make better decisions. If it’s blocked, you might feel confused or disconnected from your intuition.

The colour of the Third Eye Chakra is indigo, and it is represented by a two-petalled lotus. This chakra helps you understand things beyond the physical world. Practices like meditation or quiet reflection can help keep this energy centre in balance.

7. Crown Chakra (Sahasrara)

The Crown Chakra is located at the top of your head. It’s connected to spiritual connection and enlightenment. When this chakra is balanced, you feel a sense of peace and connection to the universe. It helps you feel connected to something greater than yourself. If it’s blocked, you might feel disconnected or lack a sense of purpose.

The colour of the Crown Chakra is violet or white, and its symbol is a thousand-petalled lotus. This chakra supports your spiritual growth and overall sense of well-being. To keep it balanced, you might practice mindfulness or explore spiritual practices that resonate with you.

Now we will go through how to start a meditation and this is what I do.

I put a timer on for 15 minutes and just focus on my breathing, focus on in inhale and then the exhale, it will be tough when you start as you will have many ideas and thoughts pop in your head but do not be discouraged just let the thoughts come and go.

When you first start out this will seem like a constant battle but it gets so much easier.

You can do it in silence or you can put some calming music on here is a good one I use from YouTube ➡️ Click Me

Keep practicing and you will achieve GOD mode with this.

When you get to the level where you can block out 15 minutes by meditating you can use this many times throughout the day and you could even up it to 20 minutes or 30 minutes.

You could even do a five minute meditation this will help when you are at work we call this a power zen 🙂

It may feel like you are not getting anywhere but do not give up.

Make it a plan to meditate 15 minutes each day for one month and that should be a good time to tell what you should do next.

Many people called me stupid and laughed at me when I started meditating so I just turned up god mode and made sure I committed to all the meditation practices I gave myself.

Now I can switch into meditation mode in an instant.

Binaural beats are great for getting your vibrations up, and it will do your sleep justice.

There is also guided meditations you can tune in to.

There is also sleep hypnosis that will give you great sleep and have you waking up feeling great.

That's all for this post

Remember never give up.

Be that person you are destined to be, your future self WILL thank you.
