Is there really a way to master discipline?

If you think you cannot master discipline then …

YOUR WRONG!!!!

Continue reading to find out how to achieve black belt in the art of discipline..

So we have heard the expression say consistent and stay disciplined and in another way of saying staying consistent is being disciplined

So perhaps we should of made this title how to stay consistent? No matter it's all the same.

We have been introduced into discipline from a young age take example when your parents would get you to go to Karate, Boxing or any other Martial Arts they would say -- You should go because it will teach you discipline

You are scratching you head thinking how would learning to punch someone teach me discipline? furthermore they tell me not to punch people now there telling me I can? Then you start getting yourself in a Pickle because you're thinking are they trying to trick me or?

Well lets dive deeper into this - causing Violence is not cool and using your anger or Martial Arts to hurt someone be at school, in the street, in your work is not a good idea.

Now before you click off this blog hear me out..

So Martial Arts first started out as a means to protect yourself, and many martial artists would use their skills to compete in tournaments and that is fine.

However there would be certain people who would learn these martial arts to go and start fights, cause trouble and even bully people and that's the big NO NO.

There was a mentor of mine when I was learning Ju-jitsu and he had told me Just because you are learning moves that could break peoples bones it doesn't mean you should.

Ok now we have got that out of the way let's dive into why these are classed as disciplines.

So let's start with Martial Arts for simplicity we will say Karate

This becomes a discipline because not only you will have the challenge to keep attending class or Dojo, not allowing yourself to be distracted by your friends or playing video games.

You also have to stay consistent to bowing to your mentor and bowing to your opponent's. A lot of martial artists practice bone conditioning too.

I mean you have seen martial arts practitioners punching through blocks of ice or breaking bricks with one fist or palm and that my friends is the work of conditioning.

You have to practice the stances, the same defence blocks, the same movements, and this will be repetitive until your mentor sees you ready to go up a class.

This is also true for Boxing, Wrestling, Kickboxing however with added fitness routines. Like running, skipping, swimming, working out etc and that's just for mandatory.

If your a fighter training for competitions then there a whole lot more going into play such as diet, putting on weight, cutting weight and more.

Another scenario is when you were a child and your parents would make you attend school Monday - Friday and that was discipline.

Discipline for routine like get up, breakfast, shower, brush teeth, get dressed, go to school and aim for 100% attendance.

Some of you enjoyed the school life and some of you did not.

However this was one of the things you did not have control over as for you glass half empty people all you knew was you have to go and there is no getting out of it.

For some of you who were like the glass is half full would make the positive out of the situation and think - well I get to see my friends, get to learn new skills, get to see that crush, and I am one more step to becoming more of an adult.

Another form of discipline of which I am certain most of you know is the 9-5 or the work life.

Now we all stay committed with our work because we know if we do not show up then we will not be paid its as simple as that.

For most of you it is the fact of putting food on the table, paying bills, saving for Birthday | Christmas presents and for some of you it could be the idea of being able to buy a round for everyone at the Pub or hanging out with your friends or even going shopping.

Now it is funny that we do not lack discipline when it comes to earning money but yet we find it hard to stay disciplined in the other parts of our lives like exercise, eating healthy, adopting good habits, continuous learning and self development.

The other day when I was at work this man came in and I said WOW mate your stacked! how long did it take you to get that big?

and his reply was mate I've been working out for years and I asked him for a skinny guy like me how long would it take me to get to your level? and he said rough idea about 6 years, just keep consistent keep eating all the good food, take protein supplements.

So for you people who want to get jacked remember it is not an overnight job its consistent hard work that will pay off in the end.

Whatever you want in your life you can indeed achieve it but you have to stay dedicated and not give up on your end goal.

You want to be able to meditate like a GOD?

Do you want to gain a six-pack or get Jacked?

Do you want more money?

Do you want to have more people admire you?

Do you want to achieve greatness?

All of these can be achieved with constant discipline, focus and persistence.

A champion does not become a champion by the punch he throws, he becomes a champion from the disciplines he practices.

So there you have it Ladies And Gentleman Practice, Persistence, Patience, Focus & Be Relentless.

Remember you are never too smart, too stupid, too young or too old to work on yourself.

I believe in you

Strive for greatness πŸ₯ŠπŸ”₯
